Established in 1977, Everett Mitchell and a group of co-workers formed Mitchell’s Oil Field Service with a single yard in Baker, Montana. From its humble beginnings as a small family-owned business to its current far-reaching scope of operations comprised of 400 employees in eight facilities, Mitchell’s has built a strong reputation as the leading oil field service provider in the Williston Basin and Bakken Formation.

2007 Opened Watford City, North Dakota facility
2008 Acquired CB Contracting (including Killdeer and Bowman, North Dakota, facilities)
2009 Installed new company-wide IT system to improve asset utilization and project tracking
2010 Hired Todd Appel as President and CEO.
Appointed Everett Mitchell as Chairman.
